ENGINEERING APPROACH

Network Infrastructure and Software Together

MicronTech plans the hardware and software sides of the systems it installs together. Besides supplying and installing network devices, we also develop the software that runs on this infrastructure.

Whether it is a network infrastructure with hundreds of endpoints (network-connected devices such as computers, IP phones and cameras) or an ERP/CRM integration built for your business, we design both with each other in mind.

Custom Software Development

If off-the-shelf software does not fit your business processes, we develop software to your requirements. We build applications that turn your data into reports and, where needed, communicate with hardware in the field.

Technologies We Use:
PHP / Laravel Python / Django C# / .NET MySQL / MSSQL JavaScript / Vue.js REST API
Web & Desktop Applications

Admin panels, inventory tracking, CRM and custom workflow software.

Hardware Communication (IoT)

Industrial software that reads data from sensors, weighbridges or machines in the field.

Corporate Infrastructure Solutions

Server Room Installation

Turnkey projects that can include rack cabinet layout, raised flooring, climate control and an FM200 gas fire suppression system. The scope is defined after the site survey.

Structured Cabling & Fiber

CAT6/CAT6A copper cabling, fiber optic termination by fusion splicing and OTDR (optical fiber line tester) test reports.

Active Device Management

L2/L3 managed switch configuration, VLAN (virtual LAN) definitions and network security settings.

Professional Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi 6/6E and Wi-Fi 7 projects for hotels, factories and campuses. Coverage is planned according to the site survey, the building structure and access point placement, and roaming (devices moving between access points) is configured.

Network Security & Law No. 5651 Access Logs

We install and configure a firewall at your network's internet gateway. For businesses that have an access-log obligation under Turkish Law No. 5651, we set up infrastructure that supports collecting and retaining these logs.

Firewall
  • • Sales, installation and configuration of Sophos and Fortinet products
  • • Web filtering and application control
  • • Site-to-site VPN between branches and secure remote access (SSL-VPN)
  • • Audit and improvement of existing firewall rules
Access Logs under Law No. 5651
  • • Collection and retention of internet access logs under Turkish Law No. 5651 and the related regulation
  • • Time-stamping infrastructure to verify log integrity
  • • User verification for guest networks (hotspots) by methods such as SMS
  • • Installations that support the logging obligation in hotels, cafés, office towers and factories

Microsoft 365 & Corporate Email

We plan and carry out the move from legacy POP3/IMAP-based email systems to Microsoft 365, which can be accessed from computers, phones and web browsers.

Email Migration
  • Migration from your current email system to Exchange Online; the data to be moved and the migration schedule are agreed in advance
  • Configuration of the domain and SPF/DKIM/DMARC (email authentication) DNS records
  • Outlook and mobile device setup
  • Migration of old email archives (PST files)
Setup & Management
  • Choosing a license plan that fits your needs (Business Basic / Standard / Premium)
  • Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint file sharing structure
  • Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Support for adding/removing users and managing permissions

Backup & Uninterruptible Power

We build the backup plan on the 3-2-1 rule: 3 copies, 2 different storage media, 1 copy in a separate location.

Backup Solutions

We set up backup systems for servers, computers and file servers with Veeam and Synology Active Backup. The backup plan (which data, how often, where) is defined together with you according to your business needs and validated with restore tests.

NAS & Centralized Storage

Shared in-office file storage, per-user permissions and automatic backup with Synology NAS (network-attached storage) devices.

Uninterruptible Power (UPS)

Sales and installation of Eaton and APC UPS systems; capacity sizing based on the load of your server room and critical devices, and configuration for the controlled shutdown of servers during long power outages.

On-Site Installation

We take the site conditions met during cabling, device mounting and commissioning into account from the start of network and software design.

Frequently Asked Questions About IT

The duration depends on the office size and existing infrastructure. Approximate examples: single-floor office for 50 people: 5-10 business days, multi-floor office tower for 500 people: 4-8 weeks. The exact duration is set after the site survey. Main cost items: structured cabling (per m²), active devices (switches and access points), firewall, server room equipment, labor and engineering. A site survey is needed for an exact quote.

The Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard has a theoretical maximum speed of 9.6 Gbps and uses the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands; Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6 GHz band to the same standard. The Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard has a theoretical maximum speed of 46 Gbps; it operates in the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands and supports 320 MHz channel width and MLO (Multi-Link Operation, using more than one band at the same time). The speed achieved on site depends on the standard the devices support, the number of users and the building structure. The difference is most noticeable where many devices connect, such as offices and shopping malls, and in low-latency applications such as VR, AR and 8K video. NETGEAR's WAX series access points support Wi-Fi 6/6E and the WBE series supports Wi-Fi 7.

Turkish Law No. 5651 defines those who give people the opportunity to use the internet at a certain place for a certain period as collective use providers. Cafés, hotels, universities, hospitals, shopping malls and companies that offer internet access to guests or employees may fall under this definition; whether you are covered is assessed according to your business's situation. Under the Regulation on Internet Collective Use Providers, access logs must be recorded electronically and kept for two years; those offering internet access in public areas must also set up a system that identifies users by methods such as SMS. Failure to meet these obligations may lead to sanctions, including an administrative fine. MicronTech sets up log collection and time-stamping infrastructure that supports this logging obligation. We recommend obtaining legal advice on which obligations apply to your business.

A VLAN (Virtual LAN) is a method of logically dividing devices that are physically connected to the same network into separate networks. It is used for: separating guest and employee networks, keeping IoT devices apart, limiting access between departments, separating production lines from the office network, and giving priority to IP phone (VoIP) traffic. Managed switches such as the NETGEAR M4250 support VLANs; how many VLANs are needed depends on the size of the network and the device groups that must be separated.

3 copies of data (the original and 2 backups) are kept on 2 different storage media (for example NAS and cloud), with 1 copy at another location, so that this copy can still be used if the others become inaccessible in a disaster. The extended version is the 3-2-1-1-0 rule: in addition there is 1 immutable (unchangeable) copy, and 0 errors is the target in restore tests. MicronTech sets up this structure with Veeam and Synology Active Backup.

For most SMEs and corporate businesses, Microsoft 365 is the more practical option: no separate server hardware is needed, Microsoft handles the updates, spam protection is included in the package and it can be accessed from a computer, phone or web browser. Running your own email server, on the other hand, brings ongoing maintenance, security and backup responsibilities. We choose a license plan that fits your needs together with you and plan the migration to keep the risk of data loss to a minimum.

Yes. For the systems we install, we offer remote and on-site support contracts whose scope is defined together with you according to your business needs. The contract scope, response method and periodic maintenance schedule are finalized at the quotation stage.
